2025 Annual Catholic Appeal Archbishop’s Letter

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

 

We are beginning the Jubilee Year of 2025, a time of grace and mercy and an invitation for a renewed commitment to our faith.

 

This is an extraordinary opportunity for all of us to reflect on God’s abundant grace in our lives and to respond with hearts marked by gratitude and generosity.

 

The theme of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal, Faith in Action, calls us to actively live out our Catholic faith and help advance the Kingdom of God within our communities in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

 

The Jubilee Year is a sacred time, encouraging us to renew our faith in the Lord and experience the joy and transformation that come from participating in the life of the Church. As Pope Francis reminds us, this year is not merely a celebration but an invitation to personal and communal conversion. It’s a moment to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and to be the hands and feet of Christ in our world today.

 

The Annual Catholic Appeal allows us to put our faith into action and to support the essential ministries and outreach efforts that strengthen the archdiocesan community.

 

These include supporting our Evangelization and Discipleship Ministry, building up our Catholic schools, campus ministry, and sacramental preparation especially for those approaching Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation or marriage. Your generosity impacts countless lives.

 

Each gift to the appeal sustains and grows the works of our Church, fostering the love of Christ throughout our parishes, schools and broader community.

 

In the coming week, I ask you to join me in examining your heart and discerning how you might participate in this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal. How might God be calling you to contribute to the renewal of the Church during this time of Jubilee?

 

During this Jubilee Year, let us all commit to active engagement, not only in our parish life but in the broader ministries of the Church. Through our generous gifts, we can actively build up the Body of Christ within the archdiocese.
